Campaign Use: |
Personality/Motivation: Orchid spends much of her time torn between competing impulses. She hates humans as a race and has no qualms about feeding on them and tormenting the ones who bring themselves to her attention. She actively enjoys killing and torturing anyone who reminds her of the people who made her childhood a living Hell. She does retain some underlying impulses towards good, however, and will at times temper the inhuman bloodlust of her partner. She generally chooses her daily prey from people who appear to merit it, using her mind control to extract confessions of ill deeds. She will also generally show mercy to helpless people like children or the mentally ill -- although thanks to her youthful tormentors, Orchid's sympathy for children drops off sharply after about age 6. |

Appearance: Orchid is alluring in a seductive but slightly creepy fashion. Her body, courtesy of Daxrathas, is voluptuously curved and calculated to fascinate her male prey. She accentuates her femme fatale image with long, sleek gloves and boots and a tight bodysuit of black leather. Over this costume she wears a voluminous black cloak. Her skin is pale and flawless, her hair is raven black, and her eyes glow a faint red in the dark. |

Background: |
Powers/Tactics: Orchid is more cautious and given to stealth than her partner. When on an important mission or dealing with a potentially dangerous opponent, she prefers to scout her target in advance, using her desolidification and teleportation abilities to gain access to key locations and information. Her interest in reading and research leads her to dig through news stories, record archives, and the Internet in pursuit of information about her targets. In combat, Orchid's favorite tactic is to find a way to drain the power of her opponents early in the fight (or before it). She prefers to use her ranged attacks and let her partner handle the close-quarters work. |
